Analog Coffee & Records is more than just a coffee shop; it's a vibrant hub of community spirit and warmth. Here, you can enjoy perfect matcha and baked goods in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. This is beyond a place to get a quick caffeine fix, Analog Coffee is a safe spot for creative flow with committed staff that are proud of what they do. “This is a place where you can get a simple cup of black coffee, but that black coffee will be exceptional,” said owner Noah Wright.

But what was before the acai bowls and lotus drinks? In 2020, Noah Wright moved to Madison with his wife, Mary Kate, and their two children. With a background in non-profit work, Noah spent his early days in his new town working at Crafted Coffee, Co., a shop on the corner of Main Street and Broadway. Every day, he set up his laptop, sipped on black coffee, and gradually got to know the shop's owners, staff, and regular customers. “It was the only place where people knew my name,” said Wright on the shop's community connection.

As Noah became more known in the shop, he was offered a role in staffing. Within three months, this opportunity expanded to an even bigger one: buying the business. Despite having no prior experience in coffee, Noah embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. He dove into research, seeking advice from friends, watching "Kitchen Nightmares" with Gordon Ramsay, and taking online barista classes. This new adventure allowed Noah to master the basics and discover what people truly desire in their café experience, thus creating the amazing Analog Coffee & Records. “Analog means ‘a real connection,’ and that’s the experience we want to provide for Madison—a place of genuine connection through great coffee, food, music, books, and art,” Noah says.

What sets Analog Coffee & Records apart? It’s a blend of many unique elements. The atmosphere is the first thing customers can be impressed by when entering the doors at 329 West Main Street. A comfortable and inviting room with staff that welcomes everyone in like family. The walls are lined with amazing art for sale in a rotating art gallery by local artists. Analog Coffee is a meeting place for relaxed creative talks, study sessions, and writing clubs. It also houses dozens of unique and rare records hand-picked by Noah, a hobby turned into a highlight of the business.

Recently, Analog partnered with Village Lights Bookstore, whose storefront closed earlier this year, by selling gently used books from their inventory. The menu is working towards keeping the drinks to the basics and creating “destination drinks” that are only found at Analog Coffee & Records and have been crafted to perfection. The variety of flavored syrups are now made in-house as well as the delicious baked goods.

In essence, Analog Coffee & Records is more than a coffee shop; it’s a community connector. Whether you're looking to enjoy a great cup of coffee, explore local art, or discover your new favorite record, you’ll be greeted by staff who feel like friends.
